About Us

WELCOME TO UDAAN

UDAAN is a non profit organisation that aims to help underrepresented groups such as women learn about financial literacy and gain financial independence. Financial literacy in India lags behind that of many countries. According to a global survey, 20% of the total world population is Indian, but only about 24% of the Indian population knows the basic financial concepts.

Covid-19 taught us many things. Many people got unemployed. And it was then that many people realised the importance of savings and investments. It is essential to become financially literate despite your gender, age, place, lifestyle, etc.

MISSION

Our primary aim is to educate all women of India about basics of money management: budgeting, saving, debt, investing, giving and about all financial opportunities provided by the government of India which are specific to women, such as loans and grants.

VISION

We envision an India in which women can break the glass ceiling and reach their full potential through the knowledge of financial literacy and gain financial independence.

OUR WORKS

At Udaan, we're dedicated to help underrepresented groups in India such as women learn about financial literacy and gain financial independence. The three main ways that we will be doing this are by developing a free financial literacy course tailored to fit the needs of the women of India and translate it into multiple languages for more access in this diverse country, publish weekly articles on our website about business, finance, and economics to spread awareness and provide information, organise online and offline events such as fundraisers, guest speakers who are experts in this field, and other awareness programs to spread our message
